Corona Testing Facility

Here's a selection of info I've been given from choir members to help with getting your vaccine from transportation to tips.  If you have any other info or amendments you think might be helpful, just drop me a message. Paul xx

Several Choir members have suggested this: "make sure you and your family all dig out your NHS number and have a copy of it it immediately to hand for when you or they are called for the COVID jab. From my colleagues on the front line this is far and away the biggest bottle neck when it comes to administering the vaccine to as many people as quickly as possible.  You can find your NHS number on any NHS correspondence or through the app

Avoid Scams: In the UK coronavirus vaccinations will only be available via the NHS.  You can be contacted by the NHS, your employer, a local GP surgery or pharmacy to receive your vaccination.  Vaccinations are free of charge and you will not be asked for a payment.

The NHS will never:

  • Ask for your bank account or card details

  • Ask for your PIN or banking passwords

  • Arrive unannounced at your home to administer the vaccine

  • Ask for documentation to prove your identity, such as a passport or utility bills.

Lots of choir members have recommended Mark from Berkhamsted who runs Berko Black Cab: 07961 594435.  He has a set rate for Hemel vaccine bookings (below) but has also already taken Eve to Edgware too.  He says he can offer discounts or even some free journeys to people in need.
