After 2 years of unrelenting adversity, the people of Ashley Green are worried their Christmas spirit will never return. Parents locked down home with offspring shielding from a killer pandemic have lost hope. Children starved of festive magic have started to doubt Santa's very existence. Shelves empty, petrol stations running dry, protests blocking roads. The long winter could feel very bleak. But if there's one time of year when magic and hope can return, it's Christmas. And if there's one way to spread Christmas cheer it's by singing loud for all to hear. And if there's one choir that can save Christmas... it's Choir On The Green.
Carols will take place outside, behind the village hall on the new terrace. Feel free to invite family and friends. There'll be hot drinks, food, mulled wine, Christmas songs and of course, us! Currently the plan is for us to have two performances. One in the afternoon and one in the evening.
Registration will open soon. You'll receive an email confirming date and time.
DRESS CODE & STAYING WARM...
It's an outdoor concert, so we'll all want to wrap up warm. With coats it'll be difficult to glam up with any uniformity, but we'll come up with a plan to all look magnificent. The hall will be open throughout the event so you can come inside and warm up. Additionally there'll be teas, coffees and mulled wine for sale at the cafe.
Also in contention are Deck The Halls, Joy To The World, Silent Night, Let It Snow, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Seasons Of Love and any other Christmas songs we can learn between now and Dec 19th!!
Everyone is welcome to participate. You just need to register above.
