CANCELLED - King Charles Pub Sing (for Prostate Cancer)

Here's what was planned. We'll keep all this info and plan another date instead.

OVERVIEW - Hey thanks for checking this event out. The main thing to know is that this one isn't a gig. It'll be a nice little social get together, where we sing a few songs informally (folders welcome). Family & friends welcome to join in. Lyrics absolutely welcome and you don't need to know all the songs. It's pretty last minute (I only got confirmation the pub wanted to go ahead just before choir on Monday 8th)... so it'll depend on if we have enough people who want to participate, but let's see. Sign up on the way via WhatsApp and I'll confirm whether this event is happening by Wednesday morning at the latest.

START TIME 1.30pm (Sat 13th June)

END TIME There's no set end time. You can come and go as you please, but I guess I'd estimate 2.30/3ish to finish. We'll see how we feel. If people are having fun I can keep going longer, or we can wrap up sooner if we want too.

PARKING The pub has plenty of free parking outside.

DRESS CODE Wear whatever you like

WHAT SONGS WILL WE SING? There'll be no set list for this, but we will sing lots of our back catalogue and you can just join in on the songs you know. The songs most likely to appear are those in our gigs at St Peters and our Summer Concert as these are the ones most people will know. Please do feel free to bring your folders. I'll also put lyrics online too, so general pub goers can join in if they want!!

ARE FAMILY & FRIENDS WELCOME? YES - More the merrier. They can join in / listen / whatever they want!

FOOD / DRINK The bar will be open if you want drinks / snacks. If you want to a meal though I'd recommend booking. Menus etc here: https://www.thekingcharleschesham.co.uk/

IS THERE THE OPTION TO SING A SOLO? Yes, if you'd like you can treat this as an open mic and jump up and do a song by yourself. Paul will be available to accompany on keys, or we can find any song on karaoke. Whatever you like!

IS THERE A COST TO COME ALONG? The event is free and anyone is welcome. However it is for Prostate Cancer, so there will be the option to make a donation or participate in a 'Guess how many sweets in the jar' competition (£2 with half the money going to the winner and the other half to charity).
