Gig - Ashley Green Village Fair
This is the day when Choir On The Green get literal: As we: the choir, sing ON THE GREEN in Ashley Green. Gabrielle was right: Dreams really can come true. I really hope lots of you can make it (1-4pm: Performance time 3pm).

OVERVIEW
Our home gig!! This is a free outdoor fair, on the green. Expect dog agility, a coconut shy, classic cars... and as it's British summer (with a BBQ on the go): a 90% chance of drizzle, sunburn or both. This is such a lovely afternoon and a nice informal performance for us. We'll do our best to give the crowds a great time though (5-6 songs usually). I hope lots of you can make it. Family & friends welcome too.
TIMINGS
1.00pm - Fair opens 1pm
3.00pm - Choir Performance (30 minutes) - there's no soundcheck.
4.00pm - Fair ends
WHAT TIME TO ARRIVE / WHERE TO MEET EVERYONE...
Totally up to you when to arrive. There's no soundcheck, so if you want to rock up 5-10 minutes before we sing that's fine. Most people get there a bit earlier though and enjoy the fair as it's a lovely occasion! It won't be difficult to find choir before we sing as there are lots of us. We'll congregate on the green near the village hall.
DRESS CODE
Blues and whites!
WEATHER
It's a beautiful hot sunny day (29-30 degrees) and this is an outdoor performance, so be ready with hats, sunscreen, water etc. There are bits of shade around where you can hang out before we sing, and the hall will be open too, for shade / toilets etc.
FOLDERS OKAY?
As always it's best without... but this is a free event, so anyone is welcome to join in and folders are okay if needed. This and Petertide Fair (On Sunday) are great events for newer members to give gigging a try as they're nice and fun and casual.
PARKING
This year there haven't been any specific instructions, but generally it's always best to lift share if you can! There will be marshals directing traffic and parking so just head to Ashley Green and someone should point you in the right direction. Sometimes some cars can park on the green itself, or in the past a field has been opened up for overflow parking on Two Dells Lane. If I have any more info when I arrive I'll send it via WhatsApp.
