Gig - Castle Village Summer Concert

OVERVIEW

Lovely low pressure gig for anyone who wants to join us! Folders fine for this one if you need (although, as always great if you can do without). Castle Village is a lovely retirement village next to Berkhamsted Golf Course. Choir On The Green will team up with Castle Village Choir to sing to the other residents and guests. Last time we did this, it was utterly wonderful. So much so, some of our choir were in tears at how lovely it was (If you do find yourself feeling emotional again, try and save it all up for Bring Him Home, rather than crying your eyes out during You Got It).

TIMINGS

1.45pm - Arrivals

2.00pm - Soundcheck (20 minutes)

2.30pm - Audience Doors Open (please encourage guests not to arrive early!!)

3.00pm - Performance (Two sets with interval)

4.30pm - Event ends

DRESS CODE

Blues & Whites! Temperature is looking like 22-24 degrees. We'll be singing inside a marquee.

AUDIENCE

This is a free event for residents of Castle Village, but you are welcome to invite family and friends to watch as well. Please ask any audience to arrive after 2.30pm, so we get some time to soundcheck!!

FOOD & DRINK

For singers and audience feel free to bring drinks and picnics. There is no bar so if you want anything then please bring it with you!! Please take your rubbish away with you too. Thanks :)

ACCESS

The village is built for easy access (ramps, gentle slopes etc), so this is suitable for all choir members. If you need a seat for the performance this can be arranged. There are toilets on-site in the main mansion building.

PARKING

There is limited parking at Castle Village so please lift share. Most of us will want to park on the grass outside the village and then walk onto site (see video below)... but there may also be a few spaces for those who need on the roundabout outside the mansion. Please save these for blue badge holders / people who can't walk far. If the grass outside Castle Village fills up, the golf club have kindly said we can use their overflow carpark too... but let's keep this as a last resort.
