Friday 6th June 2025 - 7:00pm - 11:00pm at Ashley Green Village Hall

ATTENDEE LIST AT BOTTOM OF PAGE!

PRICE: £25 - Price covers tastings of 10 wines (reds, whites and sparkling), plus educational resources etc. This year there won't be the selection of canapés we had last year (hence this year's reduced price), but there may be a few snacks included and you're welcome to bring picnics / other drinks too. All profits (at least £5 per ticket) will be going to charity!) RSVP via the link at the top of this page and you'll be contacted with payment details. If you don't drink wine, but want to attend anyway, this will also be possible. Get in touch with Paul and he can chat through options!

------------------------------

Hey everyone. After the success of last year's event, this one HAD to return. If you weren't there, feel free to check out the video below to get an idea of what to expect. The bulk of the evening is a really lovely relaxed social, tasting several delicious wines and learning all about them under the guidance of our brilliantly knowledgable expert Chris! At a guess that'll last until roughly 9.30pm. What I discovered last year though, is that sometimes when people have drunk a lot of wine, they suddenly get in the mood to dance. Rest assured I will be ready to host another party into the evening, if that eventuality does arise again. This event is such a great way to get to know people at choir. Last year I saw several new friendships form at this one, so if you're interested in joining us, you're really welcome!! Chris, Lisa and myself will all be giving our time for free so all profits from the event will be going straight to charity! Paul xx

Below is more info from Lisa and Chris our organisers:

-----------------------------------

Join us for a memorable night as we raise our glasses to the ancient traditions and modern innovations that make the world of wine so enchanting.

Discover what makes wines made from the same grape variety but from different terroir (soil type, aspect, altitude and lots more!) in Europe and in the New World different. By the end of the session, you will be able to identify major factors that affect the flavour profile of wines, find some new favourites and probably get a few surprises along the way.

Presented by: Chris Hardy of Charles Sydney Wines Ltd, with some 30+ years experience of working within the wine industry as a world wine buyer for Majestic, then (since 2016) as an agent representing producers of French wine sold into the UK market.
